I was delighted to visit the Sands End Playhouse this morning where I presented Lin Waghorn with flowers and champagne on behalf of the users and management committee of the project in recognition of her 25 years of service with SEPIA. Congratulations Lin and thank you on behalf of all the past and present parents and carers and their children who you have supported through all these years. Keep it up!
2009 also marks another milestone for the Playhouse and the Sands End Adventure Playground as they celebrate 40 years of the Project first being set up. H&F support both projects to deliver high quality play and youth provision in the Sands End area. As a local boy myself who was raised in the area the provision has been a popular resource throughout the years. Many congratulations to the voluntary Management Committee who continue to work tirelessly to support the community in Sands End.
